This month’s favourite treat comes from some of our extended family here at Flour Water Salt. We’re excited to share a special selection, starting with a pick from one of our wonderful team members.

Our Social Media and Events Manager, Emily, has chosen the almond croissant as her top pick for February. Emily says, "The almond croissant is my favourite because the almond filling is so complementary to the rest of the pastry. It's perfectly balanced, and then it's topped with even more almond flakes. The crunch of the almonds, the delicate, buttery pastry, and the sweet, creamy filling all come together to make this the best item on my list!"

Our almond croissants are made with the same care and attention as our signature, flaky, golden croissants. After they’re baked to perfection, we slice them open and fill them with a rich, creamy almond paste. Once reassembled, they're topped with even more almond filling, sprinkled with crunchy almond flakes, and finished off with a light dusting of icing sugar. It’s a little indulgence, and in Emily’s words, "the perfect way to start off your day."

If you're looking for a little extra twist on the classic croissant, our almond creation is the answer. This flaky, nutty delight has been a Flour Water Salt favourite since we first opened our doors, and it’s easy to see why.

February is also a special month for us—it marks the anniversary of our takeover of the bakery! Come celebrate with us as we reflect on this exciting journey.
